Terms of Service
Effective date: June 17, 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Matrix (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
2. License
Subject to these Terms, Matrix grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your internal business or personal purposes. The Matrix CLI, Python SDK, and TypeScript SDK are licensed separately under their respective open-source licenses.
3. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) infringe the intellectual property rights of others; (c) transmit malicious code or interference with system integrity; (d) access the Service through automated means without express permission; or (e) use agents to take actions that would violate these terms if taken directly.
4. Billing & Refunds
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If you downgrade mid-cycle, credits apply to the next billing period. Enterprise agreements may have separate payment terms.
5. Intellectual Property
Matrix and its components (excluding open-source SDKs) are the intellectual property of Matrix AI, Inc. You retain ownership of all content you input. By using the Service, you grant Matrix a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matrix shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Matrix’s total liability shall not exceed the greater of one hundred dollars ($100) or the amount paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days in advance through the email address on your account. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
